WATER SPORTS - Rafting

If You want t o feel the power of nature You should go rafting on the rivers of Bosnia and Herzegovina: Neretva, Drina, Vrbas, Una and Tara- memory of these rivers will never fade.

Some parts of breath taking wild canyons and rapids are very demanding. Only a team can conquer these cahallenging parts of the river, and at thje end they can sit around the campfire and talk about the wondwrful adventure.. People from all around the world come to paricipate in regatta.

The Una River in North-western Bosnia is already known internationally. During the summer the river is visited by a large number of Slovenes, Czechs and guests from neighbouring Croatia. Each year the Una Regata is organized as well as other international weekends of rafting, kayaking and canoeing. All of these attract lovers of river adventure on the aparkling waters of the Una and the Sana the beauties of northwest Bosnia.

Drina, the mystical Bosnian river, begins its way by winding through picturesque narrow passages and thereafter forms fast rapids on which rafting becomes a truly unique and unmissable adventure.

The Tara River - a jewl among the world's natural heritage spots with its clean drinking and navigable waters, it's eye soothing views and soul warming ambience... the Tara River canyon awaits You. 30 kilometers of the deepest canyon in Europe borders two countries, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Second only to the Colorado River in depth, this 1300 meter canyon provides the best rafting, kayaking, and canoeing in Europe. This paradise and protected area has a long traditionof extreme water sporting and easy family outings.

Without the Neretva River, Herzegovina would not be what it is- a Mediterranean oasis offering all kinds of experiences: from mountainous terrain to the offerings of local villagers to religious tourism and excellent cuisine. In the Upper canyon are some of the most breathtaking views in all of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is said that rafting down the Neretva river is one of the most wonderful things a person can experience. In Konjic and surrounding places there are several rafting clubs which offer an unforgettable but safe and comfortable passage through the 23 km long Neretva canyon.

If You prefer more relaxing activities, You should go canoeing, hiking or rafting.
In summer time crystal-clear lakes are real refreshment for swimmers.
Bosnia and Herzegovina is very proud of its water resources: mineral and thermal springs, rivers and waterfalls, lakes and a piece of Adriatic Sea.

Neum is the only BH town located on the Adriatic coast. It is an attractive tourist resort that has seen a genuine resurgence in the past 10 years. Every year it's nearly 25 km long riviera attracts increasing numbers of domestic tourists and also the foreign ones, especially from neighbouring countries and from Central Europe.The sea at Neum, which according to the ancient legend, Odyssey himself siled, is always placid, warm and pleasant for swimming. In addition, the numerous restaurants in the town offer sea food specialities cooked in dozens of different ways. The land protected cove makes it ideal for swimming, jet skiing, snorkeling and scuba diving. Paddle a bit further out and the sea opens up to those looking for wind whipping parasailing or great deep sea fishing.
